An early introduction to textiles was the gateway to my creative process.

Understanding garment patterns, samplers, and textiles, lead the departure from detailed instruction to my in own design techniques and abstraction outside of the sewing guidelines.

Colorful layers of acrylic paint, collaged paper, and drawing media emerge from hand-pulled printmaking techniques, on paper, board, or canvas, creating compositions of depth and complexity.

My aesthetics are led by, intuition, ingenuity, and the flexibility to change course when the media suggests.

I believe creativity emerges from restrained circumstances with mindfulness for sustainable practices.

A scrap from the studio floor, or a remnant from a pallet are often a starting point.
